Anti Spyware Technology
The TruerNetworks Web Filter provides complete spyware, virus, and malware
protection for your network gateway. The TruerNetworks Web Filter blocks
drive-by installs or downloads as well as any installation from known spyware
Web sites. It also attacks existing spyware installations by detecting any
spyware access to the Internet, notifying the administrator and facilitating its
removal through the TruerNetworks Spyware Removal Tool.

TruerNetworks Energize Updates provided by TruerNetworks Central update the
spyware rules and definitions automatically, ensuring that organizations are
completely protected from emerging threats.

Technique	Description
Spyware Web Site Blocking	TruerNetworks continuously updates a list containing thousands of known spyware download sites. The TruerNetworks Web Filter blocks spyware at the source by preventing browser and application access to these locations.
Spyware and Virus Download Blocking	Spyware and viruses are everywhere, even in harmless-seeming downloads from legitimate sites over either HTTP (hypertext transfer protocol) or FTP (file transfer protocol). The TruerNetworks Web Filter unpacks and examines every individual file within 17 different types of archives for viruses and spyware. It can also be configured to block password-protected archives that may contain harmful payloads.
Spyware Detection	The TruerNetworks Web Filter not only identifies infected machines on the network, but also blocks the spyware communication from those infected systems to the spyware servers on the Internet.
Spyware Removal	The TruerNetworks Web Filter includes the TruerNetworks Spyware Removal Tool, an ActiveX download that removes identified threats from infected Windows computers.
